Promoters wary after Missouri music festival bust


Apparently, the name SCHWAG doesnt seem to be a good name for your band.....

schwag ~ adj. Term used to describe low grade marijuana. This type of marijuana is usually brown, seedy, dry. The term is also used by many pot heads to describe anything that is low grade.  noun. low grade marijuana
  
COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Jimmy Tebeau figured a shuttered youth camp deep in the Missouri Ozarks would be the perfect venue for his Grateful Dead tribute band — and to host other touring musicians and thousands of free-spirited fans.

Since 2004, his 350-acre campground — named Camp Zoe — has featured performances from his own band, the Schwag, as well as top acts such as the Roots and Los Lobos.

But the music recently stopped at Zoe, and now the dreadlocked dad — once considered a savvy impresario among concert promoters and festival organizers in the lucrative improvisational music world— is accused of being a purveyor of an illicit drug scene.

Buddy Rich - A jazz drumming legend....stolen items!

I found this shared on a local muscian's Facebook page.  Cathy Rich shared this on her Facebook page....upon further investigation, I discovered that her father was Buddy Rich, a legendary jazz drummer.  Please share this, tweet it, or however your do your social media....this guy, Don Bennett seems to be an asshole..... Several weeks ago I contacted Don Bennett who owned a music store in Washington state. He is selling a set of my father's cymbals that were stolen from us after  he passed away. I tried to explain that the cymbals belong with my family, not being sold on Ebay for 30k, as he has been trying to do for quite some time. He pretended he didn't understand what I was saying..and I explained further. I was very nice and asked if after he was gone and vultures were selling off his property without permission, how he thought his family would feel?
