All Together? definitely, maybe!

The success of  Straight Outta Compton , which was No. 1 at the box office for the third straight week, has reminded Hollywood that people are suckers for movies about the music they love. And while there is no shortage of biopics about individual singers – Ray Charles  in  Ray ,  Johnny Cash in  Walk the Line ,  Tina Turner  in What's Love Got to Do With It , Loretta Lynn  in  Coal Miner's Daughter ,  Ritchie Valens  in  La Bamba , just to name a few – there's a surprising dearth of movies that tell the real life stories of bands. There's Oliver Stone's The Doors  and …  Spice World ?  Here are some of our picks for bands whose stories weave together enough drama, heartbreak and triumph to make a great film. Hollywood, we leave this list in your hands.

You are the ones that buy our records, go to our shows, and spread our music high and low.  We thought we'd give you all the "first dibs" to a new idea we've cooked up, the  VIP Neighbor Experience  (This news goes out to general public tomorrow ). It's a ticketless VIP upgrade that includes several merch items, early entry to the venue, Q&A, private acoustic performance, among other things.  It's available at most dates this Fall.  M

Aside from a  pair of performances  at Yoko Ono’s Meltdown Festival in 2013,  Siouxsie and the Banshees  frontwoman  Siouxsie Sioux  has remained relatively inactive over the last half decade. Today, however, she’s unveiled a brand new song called “Love Crime”. Her first new recording in eight years, Sioux collaborated with  Hannibal  composer Brian Reitzell on the dreary ballad, which soundtracked the show’s series finale. Read more here .....
